Opportunity:

Pediatric Cath Lab Rad Tech

Job Details:

* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
* On-call required: 8-10 call shifts per month including weekend coverage
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Facility operates 2 Cath Lab rooms
* Preferred experience in Level I Trauma Pediatric Cath Lab and EP experience
* Required case experience includes: Pediatric/Adult Transplant, Right/Left Biopsy, Balloon, Stent, Valve Placement, and preferably pediatric Interventional Radiology (IR)
* Patient diagnoses include congenital heart patients, heart cath procedures, pediatric/adult transplant, biopsy, balloon and stent procedures, and valve replacements
* Skills required include: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult and Pediatric/Neonatal), and Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: PALS, BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association only)
* CCI with RCIS/RCES preferred; ARRT (R) with SCRQSA (R) also acceptable
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to equal 1 shift
* Parking cost: Nights and weekends only with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass
* Travelers should be aware that all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November), with peak activity in August and September

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 865 total staffed beds. The facility provides advanced cardiac care including complex pediatric and adult cath lab procedures, and supports a wide range of interventional and electrophysiology cases.
