Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* On-call low census requirement
* Rotate holidays with permanent staff
* Patient ratio of 1:6
* Charge nurse responsibilities on all units
* Nurse aides and CNAs available with general ratio of 1:8, up to 1:10
* Float between MedSurg, Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
* Must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift
* Telemetry monitored on different units
* Ventilator equipment includes BIPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger
* IV Team not available, PICC team available
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Acute care setting
* 1 year of experience required with 1 travel assignment
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Must adhere to strict 75-mile radius rule

This facility is a large 483-bed main campus hospital offering comprehensive acute care services. The facility provides robust support services including 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy, an in-house OB/Neonatologist, and PICC team availability. The organization maintains a structured float pool system across multiple units including MedSurg, Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, ICU, ED, and Cardiology, ensuring well-rounded patient care across all departments.
