Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour shifts per week in an acute care setting
* Rotating call required up to seven days per four-week schedule
* One week of on-call per four-week schedule running Monday 7:00 AM to the following Monday at 7:00 AM - travelers may break up call days to equal one week per four-week schedule
* Weekend call requirement: Friday after hours until Monday morning 7:00 AM (if not completing Monday-to-Monday call)
* Holiday call requirement is rotational
* On-call response time of 30 minutes required
* Mandatory call/standby requirement applies to RN staff
* RN responsibilities include circulating, sedating, and completing documentation requirements in the Cath Pre/Post Recovery area
* Common procedures include diagnostic left and right heart caths, PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacemaker, TCAR, EVAR, EKOS, AIF, IVC filters, Infusaports, and Permacaths
* Facility sees an average of 10-15 cases per day across 2 suites/labs
* Charting system: EPIC
* Equipment: Siemens software and equipment
* EKOS experience preferred but training is available
* Minimum one year of prior Cath Lab experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
* Surgical attire provided; personal lead is not provided
* No floating requirements - optional additional hours available in other units for those with applicable experience
* BSN not required
* Valid state nursing license required for submission

This acute care facility operates a well-equipped Cath Lab with two suites and a dedicated Pre/Post Recovery area, supported by a team that includes a Director, Coordinator, and Charge Nurse. The department handles a high volume of complex cardiovascular and vascular procedures and is supported by on-call cardiologist coverage 24/7. The organization provides surgical attire and comprehensive orientation including general hospital orientation, nursing orientation, computer training, and up to 36 hours of department-specific orientation time.
