Opportunity:

Operating Room - CVOR Tech 10HR - DAYS

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 10-hour shifts
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Monday through Friday schedule with one varying off day per week
* On-call required: 2-3 calls per week and at least 1 weekend per month (24 hours covering Saturday and Sunday)
* On-call amount depends on staffing needs for weekends and weeknights
* Weekend requirement: Yes
* Block schedule accommodation available
* 1 pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Scrub experience required
* Cases include Adults, Adolescents, and Geriatrics - General and Neuro Surgery
* Cardiovascular cases preferred
* 12 operating rooms on unit; 2 rooms assigned
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Parking available at no cost in South Parking Garage
* Will not float within scope to meet facility needs; no floating to sister facilities
* Local candidates accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, CST (NBSTSA strongly preferred)
* Required skills include: Arteriovenous fistula repair, Aseptic Technique, Carotid angioplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Femoral popliteal bypass graft, General OR, Hybrid OR, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure
* Maryland or Compact license must be active and in hand at submission
* Two supervisor references required
* Nicotine-free candidates only; nicotine and cotinine testing will be conducted

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 178 total staffed beds, offering a comprehensive range of surgical services including cardiovascular, general, and neuro surgery. The facility operates 12 operating rooms and utilizes Cerner as its charting system. The organization maintains a strict tobacco-free policy and upholds high standards for patient care and safety.
