Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No on-call requirements
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks
* Minimum 2-3 years or more of ICU experience required
* Strong critical thinking skills required
* Must float per facility floating policy
* Clock in time is 6:38 AM/PM; after 6:45 AM/PM is considered tardy
* Badging in and out for each shift is required along with taking a full 30-minute lunch
* Documentation system: Meditech (experience preferred)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Certification
* Active TX RN License required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Perform procedures including chest tubes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, GI scopes, and dressing changes
* MICU and MSICU background preferred
* IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

The SICU unit utilizes Meditech for documentation and maintains high standards for patient care, requiring staff to demonstrate strong critical care skills and proficiency in a variety of complex procedures. The organization upholds a patient-focused culture and emphasizes punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to unit guidelines to support the highest quality of care.
