Opportunity:

RN - Bone Marrow Transplant

Job Details:

* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Every other weekend required
* Call required
* Required certifications: BLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC); OCN preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Bone marrow transplant experience required; experience administering cells not required
* Perform cell and gene therapy administration
* Administer blood products, chemotherapy, and conditioning treatments
* Provide supportive care administration and triage
* Manage and access ports, central lines, PICC lines, and implanted lines
* Administer IV push chemotherapy and monitor chemotherapy treatments
* Manage cytotoxic spills and handle body fluids post-chemotherapy
* Administer antibiotics, antiemetics, antifungals, antifungals, antivirals, and antitumor medications
* Recognize and manage side effects, abnormal lab values, and complications including anaphylaxis and sepsis
* Provide neutropenic precautions and isolation/PPE protocols
* Support patient and family education
* Perform phlebotomy and start and maintain IVs
* Patients include adults and geriatric populations with hematologic malignancies
* Michigan nursing license required (not compact) prior to submission
* 2 manager or supervisor references required
* Must complete modules onsite during orientation

The unit operates with a daily census of approximately 14 patients and benefits from robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and more.
