Job Details:

* Rotating shift schedule with weekend coverage required
* Number of weekend shifts per contract varies
* Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 24-hour orientation period
* 10-room, 10-bed Labor and Delivery unit
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Care for patients with pregnancy-related diagnoses including labor and delivery triage
* Required certifications: AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
* Key skills required include labor and delivery, antepartum care, neonatal resuscitation, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia management, postpartum hemorrhage, cesarean section support, and use of external and internal fetal monitoring
* Additional skills include epidural anesthesia support, triage of obstetrical patients, VBAC management, couplet care, breastfeeding/lactation support, and wound assessment and care
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
* Candidates must be available to work every other holiday
* Willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Active PA or Compact license required

This facility features a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit with 10 beds and 10 rooms, providing comprehensive obstetrical care for a wide range of patient needs. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, transportation, and unit secretaries. The facility is committed to high-quality maternal and neonatal care and offers a collaborative care environment for both staff and patients.
