Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule options of 4x12 or 3x12 shifts
* Weekday and weekend coverage required with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Skills include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, PICC line management, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
* Attendance policy in effect - facility will only tolerate 2-3 call offs per contract
* Candidates must have a permanent address greater than 100 miles from the facility; candidates between 75-100 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis

This facility is home to a dynamic 34-bed medicine unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit is supported by an experienced team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians who collaborate to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift, facilitating daily huddles, managing patient flow, and rounding on patients, while nurse management maintains a strong daily presence on the unit.
