Job Details:
* Night shift position with 48 hours guaranteed
* Patient ratios of 1:6/7 on nights and weekends with team nursing model; support provided by PCC, RN, and other staff
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend coverage required as needed; weekend block schedule may be considered
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility - strictly enforced
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required; 3+ years preferred
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience required
* At least 1 prior travel assignment required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, starting and maintaining IVs
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as CHF, AMI, post cath lab, PPM placements, and ablations
* Ability to verify rhythm strips, manage drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol required
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; RTO will not be accepted after an offer is made
* If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, traveler must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays if all three fall during the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 holidays if only 2 fall during the assignment

This is a Short Term Acute Care, Level I Trauma Center providing comprehensive inpatient medical and surgical services. The facility operates a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit with a daily census of 42 patients and offers robust interdisciplinary support services. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and has a strict compliance and submission process to ensure quality staffing for their patient population.
