Job Details:

* 13-week assignment
* 12-hour shifts from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* 36 hours per week guaranteed
* Must have current Washington State license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
* Strong OB experience required
* Must be a team player
* Any requested time off must be pre-approved and added to the end of the contract
* Provide, coordinate, and direct individualized comprehensive respiratory care to all patients
* Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
* Expected to function with a minimum of supervision once oriented
* Prefer one year of current acute care experience; new graduates may be considered
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and from wheelchair to bed level
* Must be able to lift 5 pounds overhead
* Must be able to pull 50 pounds from stretcher to bed and push a 150-pound loaded stretcher 300 feet
* Auditory ability to perform procedures and take accurate blood pressures
* Vision adequate to observe patients and perform charting procedures

This healthcare facility offers a comprehensive cardiopulmonary department providing individualized respiratory care to patients of all acuity levels. The department is led by a Cardiopulmonary Director and values respiratory therapists who can work independently after orientation. The facility maintains high standards of care through evidence-based practices in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of respiratory therapy services.
