Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment
* Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Three 12-hour shifts per week
* 4 weekends per month required (Friday and Saturday for night shift)
* No on-call requirements
* Patient ratios: 1:2 PICU; 1:3 IMC (1:4 IMC with PCT); 1:5 Peds (1:6 Peds with PCT)
* Work within a 19-bed unit consisting of 10 PICU beds and 9 Pediatric beds
* Perform procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation
* Operate equipment including Hillrom beds, GE monitors, ICU Medial Plum 360 pumps, and Med Fusion syringe pumps
* Use Meditech EMR system
* Required scrub color: galaxy blue
* Pediatric ICU experience required
* Pediatric experience required
* Must be a team player and able to adapt to various patient situations
* Required certifications: RN License, BLS, ACLS, PALS

Facility:

This facility is home to a unique and growing pediatric unit that provides a comprehensive foundation of pediatric care. The unit is equipped to handle a wide range of patient needs, from surgical cases such as appendicitis to critical care patients requiring vasoactive drips and mechanical ventilation for respiratory support. The unit has a total of 27 staff members and operates with charge nurses on both day and night shifts to ensure quality patient care.
