Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* 20-week contract
* 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
* On-call is voluntary
* Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
* Will be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift
* Epic experience required
* Allscripts/eMD charting system experience preferred
* Unit includes 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum with 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage
* Treats low and high risk Labor and Delivery patients
* Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Required skills: use of external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and circulating for C-sections
* Unit systems include SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
* Active California license required
* Smoke/nicotine-free facility - must arrive free of tobacco odor
* No more than 3 days of requested time off for the duration of the contract
* No requested time off during the first two weeks of assignment
* Must work most holidays

This facility offers a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit with a wide range of obstetric services, including triage, LDR rooms, operating rooms, NICU, and post-partum care. The unit is supported by 24-hour OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia coverage, ensuring continuous care for both low and high risk patients. Interdisciplinary support services are readily available to assist clinical staff in delivering exceptional patient care.
