Opportunity:
RN - OB Case Management
Job Details:
* Active Alaska nursing license required at time of submittal
* OB Case Management experience required
* Provide comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient OB clinic setting
* Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
* Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy
* Perform clinical procedures and provide patient education and care coordination
* Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes
* Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
* Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions or escalation of care
* Facilitate referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services
* Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record
* Advocate for patient care and assist patients in navigating the healthcare system
* Participate in quality and performance improvement activities
* Maintain required competencies, annual certifications, and attend staff meetings and in-service educational programs
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment
* Float to other departments or assignments as needed
* Provide appropriate guidance and delegation to ancillary staff
* Support orientation, mentoring, and education of staff, students, and peers
* Required certifications: BLS; Case Management certification preferred
* Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
* Must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility address
