Opportunity:

RN - IMU

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts with weekends as scheduled
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday schedule equating to approximately every other holiday
* No call or standby requirement
* Patient ratio of 1:3 on an 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit
* One PCT available per shift
* Titrate drips including Nitroglycerin up to 150mcg/kg/min, Neo up to 100mcg/min, and Cardene up to 10mg/hr
* Read and interpret telemetry strips as all patients are on telemetry monitoring
* Operate BiPAP and CPAP equipment
* Care for step-down level patients with diagnoses including post MI with sheath pull, ADHF, post-op vascular, GI bleed, and DKA
* Float to other units as needed
* Charge nurse and house supervisor available; under normal circumstances charge nurse will not carry a patient team
* Charting performed in EPIC
* Royal scrubs required; undershirts must be white, royal blue, or black
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Facility:

This acute care facility operates an 18-bed Intermediate Medical Unit providing specialized step-down level care for patients with complex cardiovascular, vascular, and other critical diagnoses. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring for all patients and supports respiratory therapy needs including BiPAP and CPAP. The facility maintains a structured support system with both charge nurses and house supervisors available to staff throughout each shift.
