Job Details:

* Day/Evening rotator shifts available: 7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM, or 11:00 AM?11:00 PM; straight evenings also available
* Weekend call is scheduled in 8-hour blocks: 7:00 AM?3:00 PM, 3:00 PM?11:00 PM, or 11:00 PM?7:00 AM
* Up to 4 weeknight calls and up to 2 weekend shifts or call per 4-week schedule
* On-call responsibilities required on weeknights and weekends
* No float required
* 1:1 patient ratios for days, nights, and weekends
* 22 operating rooms
* Level 1 Trauma Center serving primarily adult and geriatric patient populations
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* EPIC charting system experience required
* General OR and Trauma Level 1 experience required
* Required certifications: BLS and CAC
* Michigan license must be in-hand at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
* 2 supervisory references required (charge nurse references not accepted)
* Specialties include orthopedics (joint, oncology, trauma, hand/foot, sports medicine), general surgery (surgical oncology, acute care, hepatobiliary, endocrine), urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary
* Special equipment includes DaVinci robotic systems (including SP and Xi), laparoscopic equipment, Stryker, Storz integration, Mako Surgical System, Hana Table, O-arm, C-arm, variety of orthopedic implants and specialty beds, and Censitrac instrument scanning
* Key skills include scrubbing trauma, orthopedic, robotic, bariatric, general, plastics, and urology surgeries, along with proficiency in laparoscopic-assisted procedures, total joint replacement, wound management, and infection control

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center equipped with 22 operating rooms and advanced surgical technology, including DaVinci robotic systems and a comprehensive array of specialty surgical equipment. The facility supports a wide range of surgical specialties including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, and interventional pulmonary, serving primarily adult and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support services include interpretation services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support.
