Open Position: RN - MICU

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* No on-call requirements
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week assignment length
* Minimum 2+ years of hospital ICU experience required
* MICU/MSICU patient experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* CCRN certification preferred
* Active RN Texas license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Meditech documentation system experience preferred
* Work with ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitor
* Perform central line placements, bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis cath placements, cardioversions, intubations, and all other ICU procedures
* Patient assignments based on acuity and skills
* Floating to other units as needed
* Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs required
* Nail policy: Clean and healthy nails only - no artificial nails, gel, or next gen
* Hair must be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors, and pulled back if shoulder length or longer
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

This 382-bed full-service hospital has been serving the community since 1976 and has grown into a comprehensive medical center in the heart of a thriving metropolitan area. The facility is home to over 1,000 healthcare personnel and nearly 600 highly skilled physicians representing a wide variety of medical specialties.
