Opportunity:

PCU RN - Flex Pool

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 3-4:1
* Weekend availability required as needed
* No on-call requirements
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Must be comfortable floating without restrictions to the following units: MS/Tele Units (Humphrey, 3 North, 3 West, Kendrick & 2 East) and Cardiac Monitoring Room
* Experience with cardiac drips (no vasopressors) required
* Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
* RNs must read and interpret their own strips
* Hospital has a VAT team that assists with difficult IVs
* Cares for adults and geriatric patients including level 1 traumas, post bariatric surgery, general surgical and medical patients with complex needs
* Scrubs: RNs may wear any scrub color
* Charting system: Cerner
* Parking: Free
* Must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
* Must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required

Facility:

This short-term acute care teaching facility is a Level I Trauma Center with 268 staffed beds. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The Progressive Care Unit cares for a wide variety of high acuity patients and maintains modern equipment and resources to support complex patient care needs.
