Critical Care/MST Flex Pool

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 3-4:1
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* No on-call requirements
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Floating required to any of the following units: PCU, MS Tele Units (Humphrey, 3 North, 3 West, Kendrick & 2 East), and Cardiac Monitoring Room
* Floating is dependent on unit census and could occur often
* Must be comfortable floating without restrictions
* Experience with cardiac drips (no vasopressors) required
* Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
* RNs must read and interpret their own strips
* Patients include adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, neurosurgical and general surgery, neuro trauma, and ortho trauma
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Any color accepted
* Free parking available
* All employees must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required
* Must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center serving a large geographic area. With 268 total staffed beds, the facility provides comprehensive critical care services including neurosurgical, general surgery, neuro trauma, and ortho trauma care. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy, and utilizes Cerner for electronic charting.
