Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Work in a Labor and Delivery Unit with 4 OBED stretchers, 7 Antepartum beds, 10 labor beds, 2 LDOR rooms, and 2 LD PACU bays
* Patient ratios: OBED 1:2-4 depending on acuity, APU 1:2-4 depending on acuity, LDU 1:1-2 depending on acuity
* Perform sterile vaginal exams, FSE/IUPC placement, circulating Cesarean sections, NSTs, Oxytocin induction/augmentation, Magnesium Sulfate therapy for preeclampsia and fetal neuroprotection, and insulin drip titration
* Utilize equipment including dopplers, fetal monitors, infant warmers, OR equipment, labor beds, sterile vaginal tables, and glucometers
* Work with EMR systems Meditech and GE CPN Centricity
* Minimum 2 complete years of LDU experience (off of orientation) required
* Magnesium Sulfate drip management and Oxytocin management experience required
* Insulin drip management experience required on occasion
* Transition care nursing (TCN) of neonates is preferred but not required
* Flexible personality required
* May float to Antepartum Unit (APU)
* 4 weekend shifts required per schedule period (over 4 weeks)
* Unit may cancel up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract depending on census
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and NRP from AAP
* Dress code: Royal Blue scrub tops and bottoms
