Job Details:
* 12-hour shifts beginning at 6:45 AM, with occasional float starts at 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM
* Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one variable weekday based on staffing needs each week
* Must complete 3 night shifts per assignment
* Weekend availability required
* No on-call requirements
* 13-week contract length
* Minimum 3 years of OR experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience required (hard stop)
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Experience in General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics cases required (hard stops)
* Must be able to circulate emergent craniotomy
* 1:1 patient ratio
* Unit consists of 41 ORs within a Level 1 Trauma Center
* Daily census of 90-110 patients across 38 rooms
* Will float to other OR units within the same health system as needed
* Helpful experience includes CT, TX, burn, ortho, sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, and vascular (not required)
* Scrubbing experience for spine cases from a Level 1 Trauma Center is highly desirable
* Required certifications: AHA BLS
* Colorado RN license or Compact RN license required
* Maximum of 10 approved RTO days per 13-week contract
* RTO not approved during the following blackout periods: June 28?July 9, 2026; September 2?12, 2026; October 25?November 4, 2026; November 22?December 2, 2026; December 20?January 3, 2027
Facility:
This facility is a large academic medical center operating a 41-room operating room suite within a Level 1 Trauma Center. The unit handles a high daily census of 90 to 110 patients and performs a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, including general surgery, GU/GYN, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, and trauma cases. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and patient transportation.
