Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week schedule
* Overtime begins at the 49th hour
* At least 6 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 40-bed emergency department with a daily census of 90
* Treats patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* First-time travelers accepted
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, CPI, TNCC
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

Facility:

This facility is a full-service emergency department with 40 beds and a daily census of 90 patients. The department provides comprehensive emergency care for patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, and is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility is affiliated with a heart hospital and offers a wide range of emergency and trauma services.
