Float Pool - RN

Job Details:

* Float pool position requiring flexibility to float to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Patient population: Adults to Geriatrics
* Patient ratios: 1:4-5 PCU; 1:5-6 MS, MS Tele
* Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
* No on-call requirements
* Holiday coverage required - if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work all; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, traveler is expected to work 2
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Required charting system experience: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required skills include: cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, central line care/management, PICC line management, arterial line management, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), non-invasive airway management, tracheostomy care/management, chest tubes, PCA, wound care/wound vac, feeding tube care and management, surgical drains, isolation precautions/PPE, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Hospital consists of 5 MS/MS Tele departments, 1 Cardiac Telemetry department, 1 Neuro intermediate unit, and 2 PCU units
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
