ICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
* 48 hours at straight time allowed per schedule
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained throughout all shifts including nights and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU with a maximum cap of 4 patients while floating
* 1.5+ years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
* Adults patient population
* 32-bed unit
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, PICC line management, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Pending New Mexico or compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
* 50-mile local radius enforced; local candidates not accepted

The ICU operates with a 32-bed capacity and maintains a strong interdisciplinary support model, incorporating services such as respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and radiology.
