Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Weekend rotation schedule to be discussed during interview
* Call required with variable schedule - typically one weekday/call per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks
* Float within facility/scope of practice and to Main OR as needed
* Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts
* Patients include adults and geriatric age groups
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Lobe resection, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Thoracic Surgery, Scrub Vascular Surgery, Thoracotomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory and interpretation services
* No self-scheduling; unit does not accept travel pairs or block schedules
* Holiday coverage expectations: if one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it; if two major holidays fall within the assignment period, both are expected to be worked; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, two are expected to be worked
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no RTO or schedule requests accepted post-offer or onsite
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required
