Opportunity:

RN - Operating Room

Job Details:

* 13-week travel assignment
* Three 12-hour shifts per week with weekends preferred
* On-call is required, averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week sign-up period, approximately 5-6 call shifts every 4 weeks
* Weekend position required; staff working during the week must also take call as stated
* 1:1 patient ratio
* 11 operating rooms on unit located on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building
* Day shift staffing averages 8 RNs, 8 scrub techs, and 5 surgical support techs; night shift includes one charge RN and one scrub tech in house with call team backup
* Serve as patient advocate as circulator while being a resource for the sterile field
* Experience as circulator and scrub preferred
* Typical procedures include total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and a variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, colorectal, general); very little ENT, dental, eyes, or plastics
* Experience in ortho, total joints, neuro, and robotics required
* EMR system: Epic
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required certifications: Alaska RN license, BLS, ACLS
* CNOR preferred
* Alaska permanent RN license required for submission

This facility is a full-service acute care hospital offering a wide range of surgical and medical services. The operating room department features 11 ORs equipped with a variety of surgical beds and modern equipment, including Xi Robotic systems. The unit supports complex surgical specialties including orthopedics, neurology, and robotics, and maintains a collaborative team environment with a positive and patient-centered culture.
