Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend shifts required as needed with an attempt to schedule every other weekend
* Holiday shifts required based on unit need
* No on-call or standby requirement
* First to float - may float to Telemetry unit with a 1:3 ratio or full assignment
* May also float to additional ICU locations
* 10-bed Intensive Care Unit with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
* Common diagnoses include heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, GI bleeds, strokes, TPA, post codes, pneumonia, and post-surgical patients
* Required to titrate drips including Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem
* Required to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips using Spacelabs monitoring system
* RT equipment includes ventilators, high flow, and BiPAP
* Charge nurse on each shift does not take patients; Administrative Supervisor and Crisis Nurse on site 24/7
* Hospitalist on site 24/7 and Intensivist available via telehealth 24/7
* Respiratory therapists in the ICU 24/7
* 1 CNA available per shift
* 1 to 2 shifts of orientation provided depending on experience
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrubs must be clean and professional; any color acceptable
* Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; first-time travelers welcome
* Must be a strong team player
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
