Job Details:

* On-call required 2 days per week, including holidays and weekends
* 3 weekend on-call 24-hour shifts per month required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Surgery RNs are required to both circulate and recover patients
* Endoscopy experience is required
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts
* 3 operating rooms on unit
* Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Required skills include: Ambulatory OR, Appendectomy, Cardiac Monitoring, Cholecystectomy, Code Response, Colon Resection, Colonoscopy, EGD, Electrosurgical Units, Fire Safety, General OR, Hernia Repair, Myringotomy with Tubes, Pediatric General OR, Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy, Total Joint Replacement, VATS, and PACU/Recovery
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

This rural hospital provides comprehensive surgical services, requiring nursing staff to be versatile and capable of both circulating and recovering surgical patients. The facility supports a wide range of surgical procedures and endoscopic services, with interdisciplinary support from respiratory services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff. The organization is part of a larger health system with multiple sister facilities in the surrounding area.
