Opportunity:
Inpatient SLP Days
Job Details:
* Day shift schedule with 45-minute long treatment sessions
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Manage a speech caseload of 10-14 patients between acute and rehab settings
* Average daily census on rehab unit is 8-9 patients within an 18-bed rehab unit
* Complete evaluations and treatments for rehab patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits
* Work with patients diagnosed with stroke, Parkinson's disease, other neurological conditions, swallowing deficits, and cognitive deficits
* Required skills include: Acute Care, Dysphagia, Bedside Swallow Evaluation, Modified Barium Swallow Studies, Passy Muir Valves, Trach/Vent, Patient/Family Education, Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices, and standardized assessments including ALPS, BIMS, BAE, CADL, CELF, NOMS, PICA, WAB, and others
* Charting experience required; Epic system used
* Must be willing to float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS
* Valid Kansas SLP license required and must be in hand at time of submission

This inpatient facility operates an 18-bed rehabilitation unit providing specialized speech-language pathology services to adult and geriatric patients.
