Job Details:

* Multiple shift options available including day, afternoon, midnight, and weekend shifts
* 8-hour shift options: 6:00 AM?2:30 PM, 2:00 PM?10:30 PM, and 10:00 PM?6:30 AM
* 12-hour shift options: 6:00 AM?6:30 PM and 6:00 PM?6:30 AM
* Full-time combination option: two 12-hour shifts and two 8-hour shifts per week
* Micro department shifts available in 10-hour and 8-hour options
* Every other weekend required, with option to work every weekend
* Holiday work required
* No on-call or standby call requirements
* Up to 2 cancellation shifts per 13-week contract
* Acute care setting
* Must be MLT or MLS certified through ASCP or AMT
* Must hold a WV state license as MLT or MLS
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a high-throughput lab setting required
* Generalist coverage required across microbiology and clinical laboratory
* Clinical lab coverage includes hematology, coagulation, chemistry, urinalysis, and some processing no blood bank
* Equipment used includes Vitros 7600, AU480 (chemistry), DXH800 (hematology), CA2500 (coagulation), Iris Workcell (urinalysis), MicroScan, Cepheid, Verigene, and MDX (microbiology)
* Charting and LIS system: EPIC EMR
* Phlebotomy skills a plus techs assist with morning rounds and outpatient overflow
* No assigned scrub color or dress code requirement
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large, high-throughput laboratory supporting both microbiology and clinical lab functions. The department utilizes modern instrumentation across multiple laboratory disciplines and runs on the EPIC platform for both LIS and EMR. The lab offers flexible scheduling options and supports a collaborative team environment with general orientation provided to new staff.
