Open Position: Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer

Opportunity:

Sleep Lab Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Night shift position from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM with weekends as scheduled
* Perform high-quality polysomnograms and C-PAP titration studies
* Perform high-quality multiple sleep latency testing
* Utilize proper testing montages to detect abnormal sleep architecture, EEG/EKG abnormalities, abnormal respiratory events, and low oximetry
* Perform artifact-free polysomnograms and equipment pre- and post-testing including impedance checks and calibrations
* Obtain patient consent for video taping, filming, photography, and polysomnograms
* Complete pre- and post-sleep questionnaires and patient registration
* Document history of patient sleep problems and chart clinical notes for physician interpretation
* Maintain detailed event logs with chronological documentation of patient interaction during sleep testing
* Recognize all sleep states, sleep efficiency, central apneas, and obstructive apneas with snoring
* Label, file, and store medical data and test results according to Sleep Center policy and procedures
* Charting system: EPIC
* Acute care setting
* Must live within a 50-mile radius
* Minimum 1 year of sleep study scoring experience required
* Graduate of a CoARC accredited School of Respiratory Care with an Associates of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy required
* Must be registered by the ABSM, NBRC, or BRPT (RST, RPSGT, RRT-SDS)
* Required certifications: BLS Certification, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Verification
* CPR certification required
* Valid unexpired driver's license required at time of submission
* Any background hits must be disclosed at time of submission
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
