Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule with call requirements of 1 weekend per month and 1-2 days of call per week
* Two technologists on call each shift - one primary and one secondary/backup
* Must be proficient at supporting Neuro and Body Interventional Radiology procedures utilizing single and biplane radiography units
* Perform Neuro and Body procedures including Y90, TIPs, chemo embolization, UFE, PAE, trauma, stroke, carotid stent, drains, biopsies, LPs, kyphos, lines, ports, filters, peripheral stents, AV fistula declot/stenting, and PE/DVTs
* Utilize fluoroscopy (Siemens) and ultrasound (Phillips) equipment, as well as IVUS
* Work within a department featuring 2 biplane rooms, 2 single plane rooms, a dedicated ultrasound room, and a CT procedure room run by CT techs
* Use McKesson PACS and Cerner Powerchart charting systems (Cerner preferred)
* Care for patients of all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Handle all patient acuities including outpatient and inpatient procedures
* Daily census of approximately 25-30 cases per day
* Position is very active and requires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20 lbs
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years of IR experience strongly preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, ARRT Advanced Certification
* Missouri license or Compact license required
* Required skills include angioplasty, carotid angiography, carotid stenting, embolization, endovascular interventions, IVC filter placement, TIPS, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, upper and lower extremity angiography, liver biopsy, nephrostomy, paracentesis, stent placement, thoracentesis, vertebroplasty, and additional interventional radiology procedures

Facility:

This facility operates as a Trauma Level I and Stroke Center offering a comprehensive Interventional Radiology department equipped with advanced imaging technology. The department is staffed with 5 Body IR physicians and 3 Neurointerventional physicians, supported by up to 9 IR technologists when fully staffed. The facility handles a wide range of outpatient and inpatient procedures across all patient acuities and age groups, providing a dynamic and high-acuity work environment.
