Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts available as either 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Ability to self-schedule, though scheduling may change from time to time
* 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
* Must work 2 of 4 major holidays, rotating in with permanent staff
* First to float to med/surg, tele, and overflow units as well as alternate ED locations as needed
* No on-call requirement
* Patient ratio of 1 to 4
* Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
* Must have strong cardiac tele background and ability to decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters
* Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips independently as no monitor tech is available
* Required to titrate drips including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
* No ventilator management required; CPAP and BiPAP may be present
* Will care for ED hold patients waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele patients
* May assist with ED patients including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration but will not serve as primary RN for ED patient assignments
* 2-shift orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus
* Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer via RELIAS with a maximum of 2 attempts
* Must pass a SIM Lab evaluation on day one of orientation (study guides provided)
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA or APEX)

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 1 designation and includes two emergency department campuses with a combined 91 ED beds. The facility provides comprehensive emergency and telemetry services supported by ED charge nurses and patient care technicians.
