Opportunity:
Burn ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend (EOW) required
* 15 weekend shifts per contract
* Float to like units within scope required as needed based on facility needs
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be in hand)
* Valid OK or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include burns, DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post code, post-op Whipple, AMS, and hypovolemic shock
* Unit procedures include wound care, pain management, line placement, and assisting with intubation
* Skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
Facility:
This facility operates a specialized Burn Intensive Care Unit with a 13-bed unit and a daily census of 13 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial staff. The facility provides advanced critical care services with a strong focus on burn care, wound management, and complex patient diagnoses.
