MS/Tele RN
Job Details:
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks at traveler's choice
* Night shift schedule with choice of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts per week
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for both bedside RN and CNA
* Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model utilized on unit - each patient is supported by 1 bedside RN, 1 Virtual RN, and 1 CNA
* Virtual nurse works remotely to assist with admissions, discharge education, care plans, CIWA monitoring, and MD follow-up
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs
* May float to like/similar medical-surgical units as needed
* Block scheduling not available
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* No on-call requirements
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Surgical patients include colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound cases
* Medical patients include cancer-related diagnoses, lung conditions, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
* Required skills include MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Parking is free
* Required certification: BLS
* Alaska RN license must be in hand prior to start; pending license accepted but license must be in hand for auto offer
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of candidate submittal
