Job Details:

* 12-hour block scheduling with day shifts
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holidays required if they fall within your block schedule while on contract
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts
* Work week runs Sunday through Saturday
* Patient ratio: Med aide with you from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM; 1 nurse from 10:00 AM to 6:00 AM; overnight approximately 1:45, day approximately 1:23
* EMR system: Point Click Care (PCC)
* Care setting: Post-Acute
* Common diagnoses and patient population include elder patients with dementia, as well as a behavioral program serving patients with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia
* Geriatric LTC psych experience preferred
* Will receive location-specific orientation including training, tour, competencies, and opportunity to shadow 1-2 shifts
* BSN required
* Required certifications: BLS Certification

This post-acute care facility is a 55-bed geriatric long-term care psychiatric facility specializing in elder care, including patients with dementia and behavioral health conditions. The facility operates a dedicated behavioral program supporting patients with conditions such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and paranoia, utilizing a structured medication treatment approach. The care team works collaboratively with med aides and nursing staff across all shifts to ensure comprehensive patient care and thorough documentation.
