Opportunity:
Registered Dietitian - Outpatient
Job Details:
* Work 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
* See approximately 8 patients per day in an outpatient clinic setting
* Provide medical nutrition therapy to adult patient populations
* Work with patients on conditions including morbid obesity, malabsorption syndromes, nutrient deficiencies, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), and post-op gastric bypass
* Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments, calorie counts, fluid balance monitoring, and management of nutrition therapy complications
* Apply current medical nutrition therapy standards for a variety of patient populations
* Utilize Epic charting system - experience required
* Work independently with limited supervision
* Interpretation services available as interdisciplinary support
* Bachelor's Degree required if RD credential acquired before 01/01/2024; Master's Degree required if RD credential acquired after 01/01/2024
* Completion of an ACEND-approved Dietetic Internship or equivalent program required
* Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required
* Licensed Dietitian credential required within 6 months of hire
* BLS certification required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Experience providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care hospital preferred
* Experience with bariatric patients preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
