Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule available
* Block schedule approved
* Patient ratio of 1:2 with consistent night, day, and weekend ratios
* 10-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 8 patients
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Weekend coverage required
* Required skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Arterial line management, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, BiPAP/CPAP management, Blood Product Administration, Care of Ventilated Patient, Central line care/management, Chronic/Acute Renal failure, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, GI surgery, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Infection Prevention, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Management of dysrhythmias, Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath/intervention, Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Starting and maintaining IVs, Suctioning (ETT, NT), Titrate Cardiac drips, Titrate Vasoactive drips, and Ventilator Management
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy

The unit benefits from robust interdisciplinary support services and utilizes Epic as its charting system.
