Job Details:
* Night shift position with the option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 1:5-6
* Every other weekend requirement
* Floating required within scope, as needed based on facility needs with brief orientation provided on new unit
* No on-call requirement
* Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis
* 25-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include mixed medical surgical and wound care
* 2 years of experience preferred; open to reviewing candidates with 1+ years of experience
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* EPIC documentation system experience preferred
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required skills include: Blood product administration, colostomy/ileostomy management and care, feeding tube care and management, heparin, insulin, isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, PCA, peripheral line care and management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry remote monitoring, tracheostomy care and management, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
