Cath Lab Tech
Job Details:
* 4x10 shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Weekend availability required
* On-call required with 14-15 days of call in a 6-week period
* Weekday call hours run from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend call runs from 5:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday on a rotating basis per call team
* Must live within a 30-minute radius of the hospital while on call
* No on-site call accommodations available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Strong Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, RCIS with IR Tech experience, ARRT R
* Perform procedures including cardiac catheterization with and without intervention, STEMI response, vascular procedures (port placement, thrombectomy, peripheral vascular), cardiac rhythm procedures (temporary/permanent device implantation, cardioversion/TEE, EP studies), and pain management procedures (RF ablation, steroid injections)
* Work with 2-3 teams of four during day shifts and a team of 4 on call for nights and weekends
* Facility averages 280 cases per month with 8-12 STEMIs monthly
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations in a procedural area setting
* Experience with Philips and Siemens fluoroscopy suites preferred
* Proficiency with Philips ISVC PACS, Philips Xper hemodynamics, and Maquet IABP preferred
* Pacemaker experience, vital sign monitoring, rhythm interpretation, and sinus node rhythm experience preferred
* Maximum of 1 request for time off; must be submitted at time of presentation
* Expect to work some holidays and weekends
Facility:
This facility operates a high-volume procedural Cath Lab environment featuring four procedure rooms dedicated to cardiac catheterization, device implantation (ICDs, pacemakers), pain management procedures, EP studies with ablations, and peripheral vascular angiography. The unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains a dedicated 4-person STEMI call team and provides comprehensive cardiac and vascular care for adult and geriatric patients.
