Opportunity:

Surgical Technologist - OR

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts on a 3x12 schedule
* Assist during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field
* Provide instrumentation as needed to the surgical team
* Possess expertise in sterile and aseptic technique with working knowledge of AORN standards
* Maintain and check all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity, sterile indicators, and expiration dates
* Monitor sterile field for events that may contaminate, interfere, or alter field and initiate corrective action as needed
* Work towards competency or demonstrate competency with Tier 1 surgical cases
* Participate in Time Out Process including Briefings and Debriefings
* Assist team in patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation
* Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
* Must be capable of caring for patients across all age groups including neonatal through geriatric populations
* Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist required
* Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association required
* Must have working knowledge of the English language including reading, writing, and speaking
* Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days the computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements
