Opportunity:

CT Technologist

Job Details:

* Operate CT scanner equipment and select correct computer and technical factors to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues
* Interpret physician scanning instructions and complete a review of requisitions and orders prior to the start of each examination
* Administer contrast materials and assure accurate contrast injection procedures are followed to ensure optimum contrast enhancement
* Position patients correctly for each procedure to ensure optimum image quality
* Assess patients to ensure optimum exposure techniques, including taking appropriate precautions for women of childbearing age and pregnant women
* Operate image processors and printers to ensure diagnostic quality images
* Accurately enter orders and charging procedures into the Meditech Computer System
* Coordinate daily work schedule and patient flow to ensure exams are completed in a timely manner
* Maintain a safe environment for patients by ensuring fall prevention measures and accessibility of assistive devices
* Minimum 1 year of CT experience required; previous CT scan experience preferred
* Experience on Toshiba CT Scanners is a plus
* Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent required
* Massachusetts DPH Radiology License required
* ARRT (R) required; ARRT (CT) preferred and required within two years of hire
