Opportunity:
CT/X-Ray Tech
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, Friday through Sunday (3x12s)
* Every weekend schedule required
* No on-call requirements
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Perform computed tomography (CT) and general radiology (x-ray) procedures, including portable procedures, for patients of all ages including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
* Ensure proper patient positioning, prepare equipment, and monitor patient condition before, during, and after scanning
* Perform contrast injections as ordered by physician and correctly make modifications for positioning, slice thickness, and intravenous contrast administration
* Report critical findings to appropriate personnel and assist physicians with invasive procedures as necessary
* Accurately enter data into HIS system and use RIS to capture patient visits and charge information
* Adhere to radiation safety measures and infection control policies
* Assemble forms, clinical information, and paperwork for physician interpretation
* Operate CT and X-ray equipment with attention to detail
* 3 years of CT and Radiology Tech experience required
* 3 years of clinical experience as a CT technologist in a hospital setting preferred
* Knowledge of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology required
* Must work with Critical Access patients
* EMR system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ARRT, and Virginia state license (must be included in submission)
