Opportunity:
Radiology Technologist
Job Details:
* Work 8-hour shifts with variable start times between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM
* 40 hours per week with rotating every other weekend schedule
* Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of the body as ordered by physicians
* Position and instruct patients prior to examination
* Adjust x-ray equipment and determine proper voltage, current, and desired exposure time for each radiograph
* Perform screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation
* Explain procedures to patients and answer questions
* Prepare equipment and examination rooms for patient exams
* Monitor patients and ensure safety during exams
* Produce diagnostic images and document exam information
* Report important information to the physician and verify exams on PACS
* Experience with portables and C-arms required
* Minimum of 2 years of recent X-ray technologist experience required
* Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
* Required certifications and licenses: ARRT-R (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography), Radiologic Tech (RT) California state license, Basic Life Support (BLS) from an approved vendor, Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) license required in California
