Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms
* No on-call required; may float to postpartum if census requires
* Every other weekend required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
* Perform fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring
* Assist with vaginal deliveries and circulate for C-sections
* Ability to work in OR suite during C-sections required (standard OR equipment)
* May perform postpartum couplet care (newborn and maternal) and newborn role at delivery
* Ability to work through PACU and interoperative phases (pre, inter, post C-section) as needed
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; L&D scrubs provided
* Facility handles 200?300 deliveries per month
* Patient age groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Patient privacy is extremely important; discretion is required
* Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours policy)
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission; post-offer RTO may not be granted
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Advanced (or NCC EFM accepted in lieu), FHM
