Open Position: RN - Tele Float Pool

Opportunity:

RN - MS-Tele Float

Job Details:

* Day shift position working 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* 6-9 weekend shifts required within every 6-week schedule
* May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
* Rare on-call or standby requirement for low census situations
* Must float within Zone 3 (based around Denver City Center) covering a 60-mile radius
* Float facilities include hospitals in Lakewood, Longmont, and Westminster, CO
* Schedules released 4-6 weeks in advance following one of two formats: scheduled at a single facility for the week or Just-In-Time (JIT) assignment with facility communicated 1-2 hours before shift start
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 based on acuity
* May be asked to float into other acuity levels including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele
* Units include General MS-Tele and various specialties such as Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, Rehab, Renal, Bariatrics, Ortho, Trauma, and ED Observation
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses including Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, Renal, Urology post-surgical, General Surgery, Gynecology, Psych/Detox, ENT, and General Medicine
* Required to titrate Heparin drips
* Works with RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP
* Designated charge nurse on each unit who typically does not take a patient assignment
* Nurse aides available on unit
* Charting system: EPIC
* Any color scrubs permitted
* 1-2 days of orientation with a preceptor
* All time off requests must be submitted prior to starting assignment
* Minimum 2 years of MS-Tele experience required
* Prior neuro experience preferred
* BSN not required
* Must live or obtain housing within 60 miles of each facility in Zone 3
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS

This float pool assignment covers multiple acute care facilities within a 60-mile radius of Denver's city center. The facilities offer a wide range of specialty services including orthopedics, cardiac care, neurosciences, oncology, and trauma services. Each location maintains dedicated charge nurses and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care across all units and acuity levels.
