Opportunity:
CT Technologist
Job Details:
* Variable shift schedule running Friday through Tuesday with hours either in the morning or evening depending on that week's schedule
* Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue
* Perform a variety of imaging procedures including CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric
* Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation
* Use PACS and teleradiology systems to correctly transfer images to appropriate locations
* Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information
* Ensure integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines
* Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory
* Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
* Required certifications: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT), Basic Life Support (BLS), Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
* Radiologic Tech (RT) state license required in California
* Advanced Certification in CT modality required in OR and HI, preferred in CA
* Fluoroscopy license required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment
* Venipuncture certification required in CA if performing venipuncture to administer contrast materials
* Minimum two years of recent experience in the field required
