Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 night shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 1 year of experience required, preference for 2 years of experience
* Required certifications: CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
* Charting system experience required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submittal
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Required skills include: acute hospital OR, cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), high-level disinfection, use of washers/sterilizers, case cart management, proper selection of wrapping materials, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/tray assembly, and equipment documentation
* Specialty area experience required includes: Ear/Nose/Throat, General, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Urology
* Must have experience with biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility operates with 325 staffed beds and utilizes EPIC for charting. The facility maintains a sterile processing department that supports a wide range of surgical specialties and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of sterilization and patient safety across its operations.
