Job Details:

* Labor and Delivery unit with an average of 6-8 deliveries per day
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required - every other weekend, may exceed to meet unit need
* Float required to Mother Baby unit
* No on-call required
* Orientation hours: 36
* Guaranteed hours: Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period
* Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision
* Must be able to perform obstetrical triage independently
* Epic charting system experience required
* Minimum 1.5 years of experience required; 2 years preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP
* AWHONN Advanced certification is a hard stop requirement - must have for pass designation
* Scrubs provided for L&D
* Free parking available
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Patient diagnoses include but are not limited to: labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, antepartum, and high-risk antepartum
* Required skills include: sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, C-section circulation and scrubbing, newborn assessment, and hemorrhage/shock management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Facility includes 2 ORs and 13 rooms with 15 beds
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of submission
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

This acute care hospital features 320 staffed beds and provides comprehensive Labor and Delivery services with a high volume of deliveries. The unit supports a wide range of obstetrical cases including high-risk antepartum care, and is equipped with two operating rooms to handle surgical deliveries. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support services to ensure comprehensive patient care across all areas of the unit.
