Opportunity:
RN - Cardiac Telemetry
Job Details:
* Strong Cardiac Telemetry experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
* Self-scheduling with a staffing ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required during each 6-week schedule period
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Float to other units and/or campuses may be required based on census needs
* Care for adult patients with cardiac diagnoses including chest pain and arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation and intermittent ventricular tachycardia
* Manage various drips including heparin, cardizem, nitroglycerin, and insulin with maximum titration rates
* Support patients undergoing procedures such as heart catheterization, nuclear stress test, cardioversion, ablation, and pacemaker/ICD implant or upgrade
* Operate telemetry monitors and provide on-unit telemetry monitoring
* Preferred experience: charge nurse, community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I or II settings
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Key skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, heparin protocols, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, and wound care
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
Facility:
This healthcare facility is a cardiac telemetry unit with 24 beds and an average daily census of approximately 24 patients. The unit provides specialized care for patients with cardiac-related diagnoses and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility utilizes Pyxis for charting and offers free parking for staff.
