Open Position: RN - CCU

Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac ICU

Job Details:

* 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to ICUs and Cardiac Telemetry as needed
* Standby call required with no call pay
* Care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients as well as step-down overflow
* Manage advanced cardiac devices including Impella, IABP, LVAD, and temporary ventricular pacing (TVP)
* Manage ventilators, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
* Strong cardiac ICU experience required, specifically CVICU or CCU background
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Patient age group: Adults
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR), pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and sheath removal
* Additional skills include: arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, CRRT, PICC line management, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, and ABG interpretation
* Self-scheduling
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This facility is a large health system offering comprehensive cardiac intensive care services with a 19-bed unit and a daily census of 16 patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility is equipped to manage complex cardiac conditions and advanced cardiac devices, providing a high-acuity environment for experienced cardiac ICU nurses.
